I’m going to post the big questions and practice discussions from the Discover Your True Earth Based Jewish Purpose class. It will be a way for those of you not participating to follow along.  There will be one post a week with big questions from either a Plotkin or Jewish perspective, along with some suggested practices and or readings.  I hope everyone finds this useful.

As a general point, I am agnostic about the form of practice.  That is, I tend to write, pray verbally, use active imagination and shamanic journeying.  But dances, singing, collages, dream work etc are all great ways to respond.  Use what works for you.

CLASS 1 PART 1  Plotkin Questions

´ What are your reactions to the idea of mythopoetic identity?

´ Do you know anyone who has a mythopoetic identity? If so, what is different about them than people who don’t have one?

´ Do you have any kind of earth based practice? How strong is your practice?

´ How strong is your desire for something different in your life? 

Write a letter of intention. Why are you engaging with the material in this class, albeit in this different format?  How will you know you are accomplishing what you want?
